Bakerfield Elementary School rolled out the red carpet recently for two staff members who earned district-wide recognition at the 2026 Education and Excellence Celebration.
Assistant Principal Caitlin Sieracki was named the 2026 HCPS Assistant Principal of the Year, and Tara Lloyd-Laurence earned the 2026 HCPS Support Professional of the Year honor.
To mark the occasion, students and staff paraded through the building before gathering in the gymnasium, where the celebration continued with balloons, smiles, and cake. The energy from the community was felt throughout the building.
The recognition adds to a culture of excellence at Bakerfield. Principal Tara Sample, who joined Bakerfield Elementary School at the start of the 2025-2026 school year, earned the 2025 HCPS Assistant Principal of the Year award while serving as Assistant principal at Riverside Elementary School.
